Construction

Take your projects beyond NCC requirements and install Easy EV solutions to be 'charging ready'

If you’re a builder or developer preparing to make your multi-dwelling property compliant with the changes to theNational Construction Code (NCC), then take it beyond the electrical readiness by installing Easy EV charging units.

Having the property EV charging ready, means that the property will be attractive to EV drivers buying, investing or wanting to rent in the complex. It makes it easier than going through strata to get these amenities and emphasises the premium features of your properties.

Australian Building Code changes for chargers

Changes to the National Construction Code (NCC) now require all new apartments (Class 2 buildings) from 2023 to have the electrical infrastructure to make carparks EV ready. This includes the “provision of base infrastructure for future cabling and control-point installation at the time of construction.” Minister for Industry and Science, Ed Husic. The change comes into effect from October 2023 and means that all car spaces need to have the electricals ‘roughed in’ for future chargers to be installed. This future proofs new developments and is a move towards Australia’s zero emissions target
